Okra
Abelmoschus esculentus 'Clemson Spineless'
Clemson Spineless is an heirloom variety of okra that produces edible, cream-coloured flowers and strongly flavoured, meaty pods.
Harvest your okra once the pods are tender and 2.5"-3" long; if left to grow larger, the pods will become woody and tough. Pick the fruits often to keep your plant productive.
Okra grows best in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil. Keep the soil consistently moist, but not soggy. Okra is a warm-season crop that should only be planted once the soil and nighttime temperatures are reliably above 16°C.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available April through June, depending on suppliers availability.

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun)
Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
