Onion Bunching
Allium fistulosum 'Parade'
Parade Bunching Onion is an excellent variety that has uniform, upright growth and produces a 1' long, dark bluish-green stalk that has no bulb at the end.
The greens of bunching onions can be harvested at any time, as the greens will regrow. Once the greens have reached 6"-12" high, you can harvest the whole plant. Let the soil dry out fully before pulling.
Onions grow best in full sun with fertile, loose, well-drained soil. Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy to encourage shallow root growth. If your soil is heavy clay, consider adding organic matter to improve your drainage.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available March through June, depending on suppliers availability.

Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
