Pepper Mild Jalapeno 'La Bomba II'
Capsicum annuum 'La Bomba II'
La Bomba II is a Jalapeno variety with great disease resistance, and a slightly sweet, mild flavour with no bitterness and some heat. They typically register 5000-8000 on the Scoville Heat Unit.
You can harvest your peppers once they are firm and have reached their mature size, but they will be sweeter (and hotter!) the longer you leave them on the plant.
Peppers need full sun and lots of heat to grow. Wait until soil and nighttime temperatures are reliably above 18°C before transplanting outdoors. The soil should be fertile and well-drained. When you water, water deeply and let the top of the soil dry out before watering again.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available April through June, depending on suppliers availability.

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun)
Let top 1-2" dry out before watering again.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
