Plectranthus 'Magic Mona'
Plectranthus x ‘De Wet F’
Magic Mona is a variety of Plectranthus that produces spikes of large, orchid-like, purple flowers held above thick, fuzzy green foliage.
Plectranthus is a versatile annual grown for its attractive foliage, flowers, or both, depending on the variety. Plants may have upright, mounded, or trailing habits, making them useful in mixed planters, hanging baskets, borders, and shaded garden beds.
Plectranthus grows best in part sun to shade with moist, well-drained soil. Keep it consistently watered without allowing the soil to remain soggy, and protect it from intense afternoon sun, which can scorch the foliage.
Seasonal Availability: Typically May through June

Care
Full shade outdoors (0-2 hours of direct sun) and Part shade outdoors (4 hours of direct sun)
Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
