Portulaca 'RíoGrande™ Frosted Strawberry'
Portulaca oleracea 'NUFPO25109'
RíoGrande™ Frosted Strawberry features large, warm coral-red flowers blended with bright pink, creating a vibrant two-toned effect.
Portulaca, sometimes called Moss Rose, is a low-growing, spreading annual with fleshy succulent foliage and bright, rose-like flowers. Its trailing habit makes it a great choice for sunny borders, rock gardens, hanging baskets, mixed planters, and spilling over the edges of containers.
Portulaca grows best in full sun with very well-drained soil. It thrives in heat, tolerates drought well, and should be allowed to dry between waterings. The flowers open best in bright sunlight and may close during cloudy weather or at night.
Seasonal Availability: Typically May through July

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun)
Let top 1-2" dry out before watering again.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
