Prayer Plant 'Red'
Maranta leuconeura var. erythroneura
Prayer Plants are unique houseplants that fold their leaves upward at night, resembling praying hands. Though they belong to the same family as Calatheas, they are generally less particular about humidity and watering and tend to be easier to care for. Red features green leaves with red veining.
Prayer Plants grow best in bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower-light conditions. Plant them in a well-draining potting mix and water once the top few inches of soil have dried. They prefer higher humidity but can usually adapt to average household levels. Keep them away from doors, windows, and vents, as they are sensitive to drafts and sudden temperature changes.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available July through February, depending on supplier availability
