Primrose
Primula spp.
Primroses are an easy-to-grow plant that many consider a symbol of spring. The colourful, lightly fragrant flowers come in shades of yellow, pink, purple, and white and are great for putting at the front of a garden or in a mixed spring planter.
Primroses grow best in part shade with fertile, consistently moist, well-drained soil. Remove old flowers to help promote new blooms.
Available in 4" pots.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available March through May, depending on suppliers availability.

Care
Part shade outdoors (4 hours of direct sun)
Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
