Redbud 'Hearts A'fire™'
Cercis canadensis 'JN100'
Hearts A'fire™ is a highly ornamental variety of redbud. In the spring, a profusion of small pink flowers covers the branches before leaves appear. After blooming, the foliage emerges in shades of red and orange before aging to green. Flushes of new growth appear throughout the summer, keeping colour on the foliage all season. In the fall, the leaves turn a yellow-green before dropping.
Redbuds grow best in full to part sun with fertile, moist, well-drained soils. They dislike heavy, poorly-drained soils and do best with consistent moisture.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available May through August, depending on suppliers availability.
