Reed Grass 'Karl Foerster'
Calamagrostis x acutiflora 'Karl Forester'
Karl Foerster is one of the most popular grasses, and for a good reason! It is narrow and upright with a tidy form and sends out seed heads early in the season. The plumes start out pinky-purple before maturing to golden-tan. It's strong form makes it a great choice for summer and winter interest.
Reed Grass is a cool season grass, which means the majority of its growth is done in early spring and fall.
Reed Grass grows best in full to part sun and is tolerant of many different soil conditions, including wet and dry, though good drainage is essential.
