Also known as FIREBALL, this Rose of Sharon is a large, deciduous, flowering shrub with double, dark pink-red flowers that bloom in summer. They are drought and heat-tolerant once established.
The flowers of Rose of Sharon only last for one day, but are produced in such abundance it's hard to notice!
Use Rose of Sharon as an informal hedge, or as a vertical element in your garden. Protect the trunk from hungry rabbits over the winter.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available May through September, depending on suppliers availability.

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun)
Water every 2-4 days for the first year until established (based on outdoor temperature & plant's water consumption). Be sure to increase watering in heat of summer and, watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
