Rose of Sharon 'Dark Lavender Chiffon®'
Hibiscus syriacus 'SMNHSPCL'
Dark Lavender Chiffon® is an improvement over its predecessor, Lavender Chiffon®. It has a darker, richer colour but with the same impressive double blooms and long flowering time.
The flowers of Rose of Sharon only last for one day, but are produced in such abundance that it's hard to notice!
Use Rose of Sharon as an informal hedge or as a vertical element in your garden. Protect the trunk from hungry rabbits over the winter.
Rose of Sharon grows best in full sun with neutral to alkaline soil and rich, moist, well-drained soils. They are drought-tolerant once established.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available May through September, depending on suppliers availability.
