Sea Holly
Eryngium maritimum
Sea Holly is a unique perennial with spiny, blue-grey leaves and thistle-like, spiky blue flower heads starting in midsummer. Makes a great cut or dried flower!
Sea Holly grows best in full sun with sandy soils that are low in nutrients. Poor drainage, especially over winter, will lead to death and soils that are too fertile or moist will lead to flopping. Very drought tolerance once established.
Seasonal Availability: Typically mid-April to August
