Sea Holly 'Blue Glitter'
Eryngium planum 'Blue Glitter'
Blue Glitter Sea Holly is a unique perennial that produces tons of spiky, thistle-like, intense blue flower heads starting in midsummer. Makes a great cut or dried flower! Blue Glitter is an improvement over older varieties because it matures fast, produces more flowers, and the flowers have a stronger, more intense blue colour.
Sea Holly grows best in full sun with sandy soils that are low in nutrients. Poor drainage, especially over winter, will lead to death and soils that are too fertile or moist will lead to flopping. Very drought tolerance once established.
