Silas Marner is an English shrub rose with soft pink petals that are pale on the back and fade at the tips as they age. The fragrance is a medium old rose scent. Silas Marner is a very disease-resistant variety.
Roses grow best in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil. Newly planted roses should be watered regularly so that the soil doesn't dry out for long periods. Once established, roses should only need water during periods of drought. Consider adding organic matter to your gardens to improve soil fertility and drainage.
