
Sorrel Red Veined
Rumex sanguineus
Red-Veined Sorrel has a distinctive flavour that is often described as tangy, slightly sour and refreshing, with earthy undertones.
Harvest red-veined sorrel as needed throughout the growing season. The young foliage is the most tender. Remove any seed stocks that start to appear to keep your plant productive. Sorrel is a perennial, but tends to be short-lived.
Red-Veined Sorrel grows best in full to part sun with fertile, moist, well-drained soils. Consider adding organic matter to your garden to improve drainage and soil fertility.

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun) and Part shade outdoors (4 hours of direct sun)
Let top 1-2" dry out before watering again.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
