Spruce 'Globe Blue'
Picea pungens 'Glauca Globosa'
Globe Blue is a dwarf, slow-growing variety of spruce. It has colourful blue needles and grows into a flat-top globe shape as it matures. The needles retain their colour all year but are brightest in the spring when they first emerge.
Spruces grow best in full sun in rich, moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soil. They will tolerate light shade; too much shade will cause the needles to lose their blue colour and/or drop. Never let the soil fully dry out when the shrub is young, especially before winter. Protection is recommended over winter when newly planted.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available May through September, depending on suppliers availability.

Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun)
Water every 2-4 days for the first year until established (based on outdoor temperature & plant's water consumption).
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
