Spruce 'The Blues'
Picea pungens 'The Blues'
The Blues is a unique, weeping selection of blue spruce. It has large, bright blue needles that hold their colour well. The Blues can be staked and shaped into many different forms and heights, but left to its own devices, it will begin to ramble and trail across the ground.
Spruces grow best in full sun with fertile, moist, slightly acidic, well-draining soil. They are drought-tolerant once established but appreciate regular waterings during dry periods. Newly planted trees benefit from winter protection for the first few years, especially in exposed areas.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available May through September, depending on suppliers availability.

Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
