Squash 'Honeynut'
Cucurbita moschata 'Honeynut'
Honeynut produces very small (0.5-1lb), uniform squash that are essentially mini Butternuts, with a very sweet flavour.
Harvest your squash once it has changed colour and become dull and the skin is firm. Cut the gourd off of the fine, do not twist or pull, and leave at least 2" of the stem on. Leave them in the sun for about a week to harden the rind, this helps them store for longer.
Squash grow best in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil. Water your squash well when young as they have small root systems. As they mature, you can water slightly less frequently but don't let the soil dry out fully, especially during hot, sunny weather.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available April through June, depending on suppliers availability.

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun)
Let top 1-2" dry out before watering again.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
