Strawberry Berri Basket™ 'Ruby Ann'
Fragaria ananassa 'Ruby Ann'
Berri Basket™ Ruby Ann is a compact, ever-bearing variety that produces berries from midsummer until early fall. The brilliant red flowers start in early summer and are followed by sweet, flavourful strawberries.
Strawberries are a perennial and can survive the winter if planted in the ground in light, very well-draining soil. However, many treat strawberries as an annual, as they can be difficult to overwinter.
Strawberries grow best in full to part sun with well-draining, fertile soil that is consistently moist, not soggy.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available April through June, depending on suppliers availability.

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun)
Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
