Sumac 'Tiger Eyes®'

Tiger Eyes® is a type of staghorn sumac that was developed for its colourful foliage, minimal suckering, and slightly smaller size. In the spring, the foliage emerges chartreuse before maturing to bright yellow. In the fall, the leaves turn shades of yellow, orange and scarlet red.  

Even though Tiger Eyes® suckers less aggressively than other varieties, you will still find that small sumacs will pop up in the areas around your garden and yard. They are easily pulled, as long as you find them when they're still small. 

Sumacs grow best in full to part sun with moist, well-drained soil. They're fairly tolerant of most conditions, as long as the soil isn't boggy or overly wet.
