Sweet Peas are cool-season annual vines with delicate, ruffled flowers held on slender stems. Many varieties are highly fragrant, and their climbing habit makes them a great choice for trellises, fences, obelisks, cottage gardens, and cut flower gardens.
Sweet Peas grow best in full sun to part shade with rich, moist, well-drained soil. They prefer cool temperatures and may slow down or stop flowering once summer heat arrives. Provide support for the vines to climb and harvest or deadhead flowers regularly to encourage continued blooming.

Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun)
Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
