Switchgrass PRAIRIE WINDS® 'Totem Pole'

PRAIRIE WINDS® Totem Pole Switchgrass is a wonderful variety of grass that has steel-blue foliage that stands tall and erect without flopping. The base of the grass is narrower than the top, making it easy to underplant with perennials, annuals or shrubs. In the early fall golden panicles of seedheads appear. Grasses are great for adding movement and/or a vertical element to your garden. 

Switchgrass grows best in full sun with average, medium to wet, well-drained soils. Part shade is tolerated, but the plant will become floppy. Drought tolerant once established, but it can also be grown in wet soils.
