Taro 'Tea Cup'
Colocasia esculenta 'Tea Cup'
Tea Cup Taro is a tender (non-hardy) perennial with upright, inverted, green leaves with dark purple veins on the reverse. The foliage will fill up with water and slightly tip over to pour it out, hence the name 'Tea Cup'!
Tea Cup Taro grows best in rich, moist to wet soil in a location that is protected from winds. Taro will not tolerate drought and should be watered regularly, or grown in shallow water. Fertilize regularly during the growing season to encourage large, bushy growth.
