Air Plant Xerographica
Tillandsia xerographica
One of the most stunning and largest air plants, Xerographica forms a large rosette of silvery-green curling leaves. Once mature, and if care and lighting are good, it can produce a yellowish-green to reddish-orange spike of flowers. After blooming, it can produce small baby plants (pups) at the base. These pups can be removed from the mother plant or left to grow in a clump.
Air plants grow best in bright, indirect light but will tolerate medium light. They can be misted daily to provide hydration, but ideally should be soaked at least once a week for 10-20 minutes. After soaking, shake off any excess water and dry the plant upside down to discourage rot. If grown in a closed container, let it dry completely before putting it back.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available year-round, depending on supplier availability.
