Tradescantia 'Nanouk'
Tradescantia albiflora 'Nanouk'
Nanouk is a colourful variety of Tradescantia with bold leaves striped in green, cream, and pink. Its leaves and stems are thicker and more rigid than many other Tradescantia varieties, giving it a fuller, more upright appearance when young. As it matures, the stems will eventually begin to trail over the edges of the pot.
Unlike other varieties of Tradescantia, Nanouk can be a bit fussier about its care. It prefers bright, indirect light for the best colour, though it can tolerate medium light. Keep it in a well-draining potting mix and a planter with drainage, and water once the top few inches of soil have dried. Avoid letting it stay soggy, as this can lead to rot, but don’t allow it to remain dry for too long or the leaves may develop brown, crispy edges.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available year-round, depending on supplier availability.
