Trumpet Vine 'Indian Summer®'
Campsis x tagliabuana 'Kudian'
Indian Summer® is a variety of trumpet vine with large, salmon-yellow, trumpet-shaped flowers that have orange-red throats. The blooms are very attractive to hummingbirds. Indian Summer® is a hybrid between two different varieties and is reportedly more compact than the species.
Trumpet vine grows best in full to part sun and is tolerant of most soil conditions.
Plant with caution, Trumpet vine is beautiful and a great pollinator, but it can grow and spread rather aggressively. It will send up runners from the root system and needs a lot of space to grow.
