Viburnum 'Newport'
Viburnum plicatum tomentosum 'Newzam'
Newport is a compact variety of doublefile viburnum. It produces flat-topped clusters of creamy-white flowers in late spring/early summer, and green leaves that turn burgundy in the fall. Newport is a sterile cultivar and will not produce berries, and is also great for small spaces!
Viburnum grows best in full to part sun with average, somewhat moist, well-drained soil. Doubefile viburnums prefers consistent moisture and tends to suffer during prolonged periods of drought.
