Water Poppy
Hydrocleys nymphoides
Water Poppy is an emergent aquatic tender (non-hardy) perennial with thick, shiny leaves that float on the water's surface. In the summer, once the water temperature reaches 21°C, creamy yellow flowers appear. Though the blooms only last for one day, they frequently produce new buds throughout the summer.
Water Poppy grows best in full sun in shallow (15cm) water, but it can grow in water up to 40cm deep.
