Midnight Sun® is a unique, dwarf variety of weigela that is primarily grown for its beautiful foliage, rather than the flowers. The leaves emerge green, but turn shades of orange and red in summer, with the colours intensifying in the fall. It does produce trumpet-shaped pink flowers in late spring, but the foliage tends to steal the attention away from them.
Weigela grow best in full sun with average, well-drained soils. They are highly drought-tolerant once established.

Care
Full sun outdoors (6-8+ hours of direct sun)
Water every 2-4 days for the first year until established (based on outdoor temperature & plant's water consumption).
Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.
