Weigela 'Vino Verde®'
Weigela florida 'SMNWFBGV'
Vino Verde® is a unique variety of weigela that is primarily grown for its beautifully variegated green leaves with bold, dark margins. Like other variegated plants, it is prone to reverting, but the leaves will revert to almost black, rather than green. It does produce a light crop of reddish-pink flowers in late spring/early summer, but the handsome foliage steals the show every time.
Weigela grow best in full sun with average, well-drained soils. They are highly drought-tolerant once established.
Seasonal Availability: Typically available May through September, depending on suppliers availability.
