Winterberry Berry Heavy® 'Gold'
Ilex verticillata 'Roberta Case'
Berry Heavy® Gold is a variety of winterberry holly. It has green leaves and produces small, inconspicuous flowers, but the real show comes from the bright golden-yellow berries that follow. For fruit to form, you must have a male and female plant to cross-pollinate; only the female plant will bear fruit. Mr. Poppins® is the compatible male pollinator for Berry Poppins®
Winterberry grows best in full to part sun with moist, acidic, well-drained soil. It will not tolerate dry, alkaline soils.
