Bright, indirect light indoors

Keep soil moist, but not soggy.

If it is planted in a pot, it should have a drainage hole to reduce the likelihood of root rot caused by water accumulating in the bottom of the pot.

Increase watering in the heat of summer and watch for wilting or browning as signs to increase watering frequency.

Ensure you keep your Wintergreen moist and do not let the soil fully dry out for too long. Provide bright, indirect light to keep the colour bright and stop leggy growth.

As a perennial, Wintergreen should be planted in part to full shade, with moist, acidic, well-drained soil. Although they are hardy to zone 3, if you are purchasing one from inside the greenhouse, they have not been hardened off and cannot be moved outside until the risk of last frost has passed.
