Horticulture Technicians

We are looking for hard-working individuals who are not afraid to get their hands dirty! You must have the ability to learn quickly and enjoy a busy, fast-paced environment. Horticultural knowledge and interest are required. We are looking for formal education in the horticulture field or experience working in the greenhouse industry.

Full and part-time positions are available in both our retail and production greenhouses, where we grow annuals, perennials, water plants, roses, and tropicals. The ideal candidate would be flexible and willing to work in both greenhouses. Tasks will vary widely as the seasons change but can include transplanting, shipping, potting, plant maintenance, pruning, moving plant material based on greenhouse zones and temperatures, assisting customers in product selection and care, diagnosing problems, unloading trucks with new plant material, and stocking shelves.

Based on knowledge, experience, and job performance, tasks could later increase to include watering, pest scouting and beneficial insect applications, pesticide spraying (with license), and overseeing small groups of other employees.

Applicants must be able to communicate effectively for job requirements and safety, and meet daily targets for quality and productivity. Training will be provided.
